Option Chains

To get to this screen, click on the button on the toolbar that looks like the button below.

This screen allows you view the option chains for the current stock you have selected. You must first be licensed for options, and you must have a current connection to the internet. If you are not licensed for options, please call Sunny Decker at 941-747-5858.

When the option chains window first comes up, by default, it will show the calls for the most recent expiration month. You can see this by looking in the top middle of the spreadsheet. You will see the word "Calls" highlighted in blue.

To view other option expiration months, click on any of the command buttons showing a date. Not only do these buttons show you the month and year of expiration, but also the actual day of the month that the options expire.

If you want to view the puts for a given expiration month, click on the command button on the far left that says "Show Puts". This will show the put options for the current month. You will be able to tell that you are viewing put options because in the top middle of the spreadsheet will be the word "Puts" highlighted in magenta.

To close the option chains window, click on the red X in the top right corner of the window.
