Overview
This is where you can change any of the screen colors, printing colors etc. At the top is 3 radio buttons for the Color Scheme: one "Default Screen Colors", one "Screen Colors for Printing" and one "User Screen Colors". The Default Screen Colors is a dark background with light or colored text and lines. This is the button selected. For printing, you don't want a black background because it will use a lot of ink and look bad on paper.
If you click on the second radio button, you will see the colors for printing. The third button "User Screen Colors" is a secondary setting that you can make what ever you want and save it. Actually, you can change any color that you wish in any of the 3 radio button and save it. For example, if you want to change the screen color, click the black colored box next to the name "Log Chart Background". A "Color" dialog box will appear. You can click a new color and save, or just cancel to keep the original color.

You can also select a larger variety of colors. Click the "Define Custom Colors >>" button (see above). This will display a new color palette where you can fine-tune your color selection (see below). If you move the little arrow to the right up and down, you change the luminosity (Lum) or the brightness desired. Notice that when you do this the color in the Color/Solid box changes from dark to light as you move up or light to dark as you move down.
Then at the bottom of the large multi-colored window, you can see three hash marks: one vertical and 2 horizontal. If you put your mouse in the center and drag it up, you will change the color of the color/solid box. When you get the color and the intensity desired, click on the "Add to Custom Colors" button. This color will show up in a "Custom Color" box and you can select it for your color choices. When finished, click OK and then the green "Save" button on the Screen Colors tab to save your changes.
