Dial Data Settings

To get to here, click the Program Options button on the upper toolbar, which is the second
button from the left. Then click the Dial Data Settings tab.

The button has looks like a grid with buttons and switches, and is labeled "Program Options"

Overview

This is the part of the program where you will enter your Dial Data settings. You will not be able to download price data until you fill in this information. You can call Dial Data to set up your account at 1-800-275-5544. They will give you three pieces of information. All three pieces of information should be lower case.

User ID

This ties you to your account. Be sure to enter this exactly as they have given it to you. It should start with "cbo" with the third letter being the letter "O", not the number zero. Again, if what you enter here does not match the information Dial Data has on their servers, you will get winsock errors and not be able to download price data.

Password

Enter it exactly as they have given it to you.

Charge Code

Enter it exactly as they have given it to you.

Server

Do not change this unless you have been specifically told to do so. The information in this box has already been entered for you and you dont have to do anything to it.

Save Dial Data Settings

Once you have entered in all the information necessary, click the Save Dial Data Settings button. This will save everything you have just entered.

If your computer has been Licensed, you are now ready to download price data from Dial Data. If your computer is not Licensed, and you have purchased the program, call Sunny Decker at 941-747-5858. If you have not purchased the program, you will not be able to License your computer to use Best Choice 4.0.
