Short Term Methods

To get to here, click the Program Options button on the upper toolbar, which is the second
button from the left. Then click the Short Term Methods tab.

The button has looks like a grid with buttons and switches, and is labeled "Program Options"

Overview

This screen allows you to select the trading methodology the program will use when you view short term charts. While we have more than one methodology available, we are only going to discuss the Short Term Swing Trading methodology. While the others work, they have not been fully tested, and at this time should not be traded with real money. In the near future, we will have more methodologies tested for your trading pleasure. ;-) To read a description of the different methodologies, click here.

Getting Started

When you first click on the Short Term Methods tab, the Short Term Swing Trading methodology will be the first one you see on the screen. To select a different trading methodology, click on the drop down box under Select Trading Method. For now we will work with only the Short Term Swing Trading.

You will notice that the box next to Enable is checked. This applies to any of the methodologies you want to select. To select a particular methodology, you select the methodology from the drop down box, and then click the box next to Enable. You currently can only have one methodology selected at a time, although this will probably change in the future as we add new tested methods of trading the markets.

The default is the Original Swing Trading Method. This is the original method in the 3.0 version of Best Choice.We have added a twist to the original Swing Trading, called the New Swing Trading. If you want to select this, click on the box next to Use New Swing Trading Method. Change the percentage of the stop in the white text box if you wish. 10 percent is the default.

Saving Your Changes

Once you have made all the changes you would like, click the Save Excellent Rating button.

Restoring the Default Settings

If, after you have played around with these settings, you wish to restore all the ratings settings back to the original program defaults, you will have to click the restore button separately for each type of rating.
