The button has three yellow lines on it, and is labeled "Re Calculate Long Term Lines"
This button is a toggle button that will change the view of the alert lines based upon the time frame. It is infrequently used. Using the Recalculate Button When the program calculates a stocks growth rate with its corresponding alert lines, the information is based upon a specific data time frame.
If you change the time frame, you will get a different perspective. For example, if you use the all data time frame on BBBY, the long term grow rate of 33% of price and earnings is apparent. You can see good buying and selling opportunities. If you now change the time frame to 2 years, you see that recently the earnings have held up well, but the price growth rate has slowed to about 14%. This is a slight divergence and the price maybe getting ready to take off again to match the earnings growth rates. If you would like to see the long-term lines on a shorter time frame such as 2 years, you click the recalculate button and the lines are displayed based upon the all data time frame. You can click the button a second time and it reverts back to the 2-year time frame.
This button is mainly used to see the longer growth patterns displayed on a shorter duration chart.
